Day 1: Graz - Vienna

Day 2: Vienna - London - Goodnestone - Tonbridge

Goodnestone Park

Goodnestone was well-known to Jane Austen, as her brother Edward was married to the daughter of the house. The couple lived there for some years before moving to Godmersham. Unfortunately the house is not open to the public but the gardens are beautiful and well worth a visit.

Day 3: Tonbridge - Chawton

Tonbridge - Jane Austen Walking Tour

We visited Tonbridge and followed the circular walk „Jane Austen & Tonbridge“ (Literary Walk from Kent Libraries & Archives) in the footsteps of Jane Austens ancestors.

Jane Austen´s House Museum

After enjoying a delicious Afternoon Tea our journey led us to Chawton and we made a quick visit to the Jane Austen House Museum. Truly one of our favourite places ♥ ♥

In the footsteps of
Jane Austen VII

11 - 15 July 2019

Ten years ago we went on our first journey in the footsteps of Jane Austen. We celebrated our anniversary with a long weekend in Hampshire and, for the first time, Kent, the Garden of England.

Kent is the only place for happiness, Everybody is rich there.
